Tara Gallo is an emerging mixed media and collage artist currently residing in Scottsdale, Arizona. Since she is ambidextrous, collaging slowly became her call as an artist since she is able to use her right and left hand equally well. The intuitive process of creating a collage and having it emerge into a piece of art is incredibly fascinating to her. Her pieces are both aesthetically pleasing while incorporating versatile elements.
This unique Playboy collage is handcrafted with vintage Playboy magazines dating from 1970-2004.
The artist used an
MDF board as the base, then adhered the collage to the base. The collage itself is varnished/sealed with UV stabilizers. Three coats of epoxy resin was used to finish the piece off, which gives it a glass-like coat appearance. The epoxy used also has UV stabilizers, so the piece will never yellow, even if the sun directly hits it everyday.
The piece is an original and signed by artist Tara Gallo.
