THREE BROTHERS YANKEE CLIPPER HOOKED RUG NAUTICAL FOLK ART

Description

This fine hooked rug was found in the Booth Bay area in the 1950's. It measures 33" x 53" and is in good original condition. There is one area where the side binding has separated which can be easly repaired. The rug was on the floor for years until just recently. Luckily it was used in an area with no traffic. While there is no staining, the rug could use a good professional cleaning. It also was not in direct light so there does not seem to be any fading. I was told it was shaken, never vacuumed. Although there were a number of ships named the Three Brothers I was given a professional opinion that this is a New York ship. This would make a good addition to any nautical or folk art collection.
