The Emergency Heroes Series came out to honor all such homeland heroes in the aftermath of 9/11.  The set consists of nine characters: Policeman, Policewoman, Policedog, Fireman, Nurse, Soldier, Pilot, Scuba Diver, and Construction worker. The Fireman and Construction Worker have African American versions.  The policeman has some face color variations, both light skinned - one a more pinkish and the other a more yellowish tone.  In 2014, PEZ introduced another Heroes set of 4 - Nurse, Policeman, Fireman, and Soldier.  These characters are a little more whimsical than the original, more in line with earlier "classic" PEZ Pals of the same characters.
