Description
AR Qanhari Dirham of Amir Abd Allah II of the Habbarid DynastyThe Habbarids ruled Sind from the 9th to the 11th century. The region of Sind lies in the modern day regions of South Punjab and Sindh in Pakistan. The Qanhari dirhams also known as the Dammas were mostly struck principally at the cities of Multan, al-Mansura and al-Mahfuza.

Translation:
The obverse legend constitutes the first part of the Islamic profession of faith stating that there is no deity worthy of worship other than Allah, who is unique and there is no entity that can be likened to Allah. The reverse legend has the second part of the profession: Muhammad messenger of Allah. (Issued by the authority of ) The Amir Abd (trans: slave) Allah (at the top of reverse). In this very rare variety the name of the Amir is split as Allah at the top and Abd at the bottom of the reverse legend.
