    Description

    ORIGINAL 1902 Magazine Print Ad
    THE YANKEE CORK PULLER -
    "A Household Necessity"
    ~ The Gilchrist Company, Newark, N.J. ~
FABULOUS GRAPHIC ILLUSTRATION! An AWESOME piece of nostalgic ephemera! One of my favs!
I had to laugh when I came across this ad!  Not only the "Yankee" reference and how the actual ad reads "no woman should ever be obliged to struggle with a corkscrew" but I noticed the bottle isn't even a wine bottle, but a CATSUP (not Ketchup!) bottle!  Then I remembered when the 'Rabbit' wine opener first came out and was all the rave!  HA!  Just goes to show you there truly is 'nothing new under the sun!' (Ecc. 1:9)
FUN! addition to your collection :o)
smaller size ad approx. 3" x 4" in EXCELLENT condition for age
Please be sure to check out my store as I have LOTS MORE original antique ads listed (as well as a variety of other vintage inspired themed "SAMPLER" packs!)
ENJOY! & Thanks for stoppin' and shoppin'! - Kari :o)
