12 Gross) Takase Natural Mother of Pearl Self Shank 7/16" Round Buttons NOS MOP

New, old stock, box of 12 gross*, mother of pearl, self-shank buttons on string as shown.  Round, ligne/line/size 18 which is 7/16" (11mm).  The shank and the face are made from a single piece of MOP.  It doesn't show well in the photos but these are particularly luminescent and lustrous.  But do check the photos- all of them.  Quality is noted as "I".  *12 gross is marked on the boxes but the counts have not been accurately verified but should be close.  And since these are natural pearl buttons the weights of the full boxes are not all the same.  Boxes weigh between 38 and 43 ounces.  All are strung on 1 gross strings.  Also note that since there are multiples of this item, not all are in the pristine boxes as shown in the last photo, it is for demonstration purposes only.  Some of the boxes are even missing the cardboard lid after years of handling.  If you must have a neatly wrapped, unopened box, leave a note to the seller when you purchase them and I will try to accommodate your request.
These buttons came from an abandoned button factory so there are probably multiples of this item listed.  They have been crated for many years and as such may smell that way too.  Nothing serious, just a bit musty.  It's part of the deal.
